Burlesque Outfit Ideas for Halloween

We've noticed a real upswing in Halloween activity here at Kuhmillion. Everyone seems to welcome the Fall and start thinking about what outfit they want to wear to the party this year. It's no secret that we love Burlesque and we've been happy to help many people find the right burlesque look to fit their style.

If you're thinking about going for the burlesque performer look, consider a few helpful tips and take a look at a few of our different lingerie styles. Our lingerie really is more showy and costume than typical shops and that's why we love it. Many of our friends are burlesque performers here in Texas and wear some of the same garments you see right here at Kuhmillion.

So consider a few different looks that we've put together here.

First, take a look at this classic striped three piece set. It's a bit skimpy, but we know that some of you could rock this look! Or if you're feeling a little conservative, layer it with a corset on top and a bustle for more rear coverage. We love this set because of it's retro 1920s design and bold patterns.

If you're really wanting to be bold, take a look at this beautiful sheer mesh garter dress. It's really a throwback to a 1930s torsolette girdle but is much thinner. For a super sexy Halloween outfit, pair this with a much more modest pair of panties and other accessories such as gloves and stockings. And don't forget the hair and jewelry! One of the great components of burlesque is an emphasis on glamour and beauty, so think big.

I guess we should cut to the chase and talk about the one outfit that almost everyone associates with burlesque, the corset. It is an iconic part of the look and we have plenty of great styles to look at. This one is almost pitch perfect, classy, simple but also very showy with a great color pallette and textures to boot. You can wear this one over just about anything black or red and be a show stopper. The bustle skirt and accessories really take the look over the top.

We can't finish up without emphasizing the importance of accessories. As we mentioned earlier, the burlesque look is, in a word, "fabulous" because it emphasizes glamour, beauty and fashion. So whatever your choice, think about gloves, stockings and garters, bustle skirts, maybe a little tophat (yes we have those too!) and dramatic makeup and hair. It's amazing what all of the right little accessories can do to create a complete transformation.
