What is Considered Fantasy Lingerie?  

Look around at the lingerie styles that the big retailers like Victoria's Secret sell and you will start to see the current trends of today. Their styles reflect the Zeitgeist of modern lingerie retail. All of it, everything that you see on the hangers and in those cute little drawers is carefully planned and likely market tested before showing up in the store. The colors range from soothing pastels to rich reds and black. The textures are full of satin and delicate lace, and the styles are modern, simple, with a few garters thrown in to bring up the volume.

But there is another lingerie trend that focuses on past eras and brings many great looks back into the bedroom. We like to call this fantasy lingerie and make it the focus of our shop Kuhmillion Lingerie. Yes, we love the modern contemporary lingerie that all the big stores sell, but there's something about the retro, classic fantasy that is fun and exciting. We love it and it's the reason that we started our little online shop.

We search for styles that pay homage to many different eras such as the Belle Epoch, the 1920s and the 1950s, and we just love to share them with our customers and friends. Let's take a look at a few different fantasy looks that we offer in our shop.

First, take a look at this fab-u-lous gartered black mesh chemise. It's a fantastic example of a retro 1920s look that has been updated and refined. Women of that era wore very similar foundation garments everyday. Isn't it classic? And isn't it wonderful that trendy girls are free to revisit a style like this and enjoy it as beautiful and sexy lingerie? Pair this cute little number with any pair of stockings and heels for a sexy night to remember.

How about this cute little three piece set? It's outrageously fabulous and when we first saw it we knew we had to have it in our shop. The colors, the dot mesh overlay and the eyelash trim along the bottom of the garter belt really create a fantasy look that is a show-stopper. The accessories in this outfit really make the look and we'll talk more about that in a bit.

This blue and black corset is a throwback to the Belle Epoch of the 1890s. The colors and textures are bold and draw the eyes in. Look at all of the details going on with this outfit. The contrasting lace trim, the garters, the fishnet overlay and the bows on the garters all bring up the wow factor. This corset could be paired up with all sorts of other lingerie pieces and accessories to create any fantasy look that you can dream up.

Let's not forget about accessories. What really makes all of these looks stand out are the accessories. Opera length gloves, mini top hats, hosiery and fabulous earrings pull the look together and create a dressed-up, classic look that is so much more than the lingerie that you see in the mall.
