Retro Lingerie | 1920's - 1950's

Corsets
A retro lingerie style that's big right now is the corset. Corsets are really a type of foundation garment that goes back many centuries. Of course, what most of us think about today are the Victorian style corsets. The colorful retro corsets we sell are a simpler and lighter weight version of those, but with a real burlesque flare. That means rich solid colors like black, aqua blue or red; lush contrasting color combinations like black and pink; and lots of detail and trim. Garter and Mini Dresses
For something from the classic mid-century era, our minidress section has some great examples of retro style lingerie. Many of the pieces are a throwback to a woman's foundation garment called a torsolette. These were slimming full body undergarments with attached garters. Things have changed quite a bit since then, but that style makes for a great retro lingerie look. Our pieces feature mostly lightweight sheer panels which are not only lighter weight than the originals, but also more provocative and sexy.
